The license will cover 2025 to 2027. Freaks 4U Gaming has been intertwined in the German League of Legends ecosystem since 2018 when it became the operator of the Premier Tour, which later changed to the Prime League in 2020.

According to a release, the renewal is seen as a major milestone by both entities in terms of supporting the development of League of Legends’ EMEA ecosystem. Freaks 4U Gaming noted that since operating the Prime League, the competition has produced 680 broadcasts totalling 3,500 hours of content.

The Prime League is considered one of the largest European Regional Leagues in the League of Legends ecosystem, only behind the likes of Spain and France. The competition’s highest viewership occurred earlier this year with Prime League Spring 2024 garnering peak figures of 83,681.

Based in Germany, Freaks 4U Gaming has undergone significant changes in 2024, notably being acquired by Indian esports company NODWIN Gaming for €30.3m.
