The final series of the Mid-Season Invitational 2023 play-in stage in League of Legends has been decided after Golden Guardians and PSG Talon won their respective matches against Movistar R7 and LOUD. They will now compete for the last chance to advance to the main stage of the tournament, where Bilibili Gaming from China and G2 Esports from Europe await. Despite both teams being sent to the lower bracket, they are coming into this match with great confidence.

The American team, Golden Guardians, found themselves in the lower bracket after losing to BLG in the first full three-game series of the tournament. However, as underdogs of the region, the team punished R7 for their disappointing macro play by finding early advantages through kills and objective control. They easily defeated their opponents in two games that didn't even last 25 minutes, as R7 couldn't handle the pressure.

Meanwhile, PSG took a bit longer to fight against LOUD, but they were able to defeat the Brazilian representatives thanks to excellent objective control and superior team fights. LOUD only secured early Rift Heralds and one dragon, while PSG took seven dragons, the Rift Herald, and two Baron buffs.

PSG's promising jungler, Yu "Spica" Ming-Yang, played a critical role on Sejuani and Kindred, scoring 10 kills, 23 assists, and only two deaths. He facilitated the rest of his team, setting them up with good engages using Glacial Prisons and strong engages.
