
PGL Announces Second Season of Wallachia 2024
PGL has officially announced the second season of DOTA 2 Wallachia, scheduled to take place from October 1-13, 2024. Building on the remarkable success of the inaugural season, this year’s event promises even more thrilling competition and features a substantial prize pool of $1,000,000.

Tournament Structure:
Group Stage:The tournament will commence with a 16-team Swiss format Group Stage. Ten teams will be directly invited based on their previous performances, and they will be joined by six teams that advance through the Open and Closed Qualifiers. The top 8 teams from the Group Stage will move on to the Playoffs.
Playoffs:The Playoffs will feature a double-elimination bracket format. All matches in the Playoffs will be best-of-three (BO3), with the Grand Final being a best-of-five (BO5).
Qualifiers:Scheduled from August 9-17, the qualifiers are open to all aspiring teams, offering a chance for new talent to compete alongside the world’s best.
A Legacy of Excellence:Following the tremendous viewership and success of the first season, which was the most-watched DOTA 2 event of the 2023-2024 season, Wallachia Season #2 aims to deliver an even more spectacular experience for fans and players alike.
