IEM Dallas 2024 to Feature Latest Version of CS2
The organizers of IEM Dallas 2024, which kicks off next week, have announced that the tournament will use the latest version of CS2. This update, implemented on May 24, introduces several gameplay changes that will be featured in the championship.
According to the announcement, the decision was made to address a bug that caused crashes during matches throughout the year. ESL stated that the newest version of CS2 should prevent such issues in the future.
The recent major update brought significant changes, including a complete overhaul of the A site on the Vertigo map, adjustments to the in-game economy, and modifications to the behavior of incendiary grenades.
IEM Dallas 2024 will take place from May 27 to June 2 in the USA. Sixteen teams will compete for a prize pool of $250,000.
