Evil Geniuses have completed their roster on 28 May and since then they have taken 9-12 places at Dota 2 China Supermajor, the second place at the American qualifier for The International 2018 and the first place at DOTA Summit 9. In the Dota Pro Circuit rating Evil Geniuses have taken the 11 place, having 1335 points, so they were not able to get an invitation and were made to pass the elimination round.

Invictus Gaming signed two players on 3 February and completed their roster. During this period Invictus Gaming got the 9-12 place at Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018, 9-10 place at MDL Changsha Major 2018, 4 place at Dota2 Professional League Season 5 (2018 S1) - Top and the first place at World Cyber Arena 2017. None of these achievements gave any Dota Pro Circuit points to the team so they even didn't get to the DPC rating and they also needed to pass the qualifier for The International 2018.

The current play shape of the collectives is pretty good, but taking into account the statistics, Evil Geniuses have had more won matches than Invictus Gaming lately. So that's why we think that Evil Geniuses have more chances to win and must defeat Invictus Gaming. IG can get together and win one map at least making a draw but the likelihood of that is not so big as well as the likelihood of Evil Geniuses’ win.
